Mentoring Programmes

Mentoring Programmes

Our mentoring programmes connect young people and parents with experienced, culturally competent mentors who provide personalised guidance. Mentors are carefully matched to families based on shared language, faith, ethnicity, or lived experience, ensuring advice resonates with your values and circumstances. Programmes focus on building confidence, academic/career support, parenting strategies, and navigating cultural identity challenges. Whether supporting a child struggling at school or a parent adapting to new societal norms, our mentors offer empathetic, culturally attuned role-modelling.

“All mentors undergo rigorous safeguarding training and understand the unique pressures facing multicultural families in the UK.”

Psychological Support

Access confidential therapy and counselling services designed with cultural sensitivity at their core. Our network includes psychologists, therapists, and counsellors specialising in diverse needs: from faith-based counselling (Islamic, Christian, Jewish, etc.) to trauma support for refugees, LGBTQ+-affirming therapy, and services in community languages. We prioritise emotional wellbeing for all family members, addressing issues like anxiety, intergenerational conflict, racism-related stress, or parenting challenges through a culturally informed lens.

“Therapists are vetted for competency in cultural humility and anti-oppressive practices.”

Youth Clubs & Provisions

Safe, vibrant spaces where young people aged 8–18 explore interests, build friendships, and develop skills while celebrating their cultural identities. Our partnered youth clubs offer activities co-designed with communities: from Afro-Caribbean dance troupes and South Asian arts workshops to inclusive sports leagues and STEM groups for minority ethnic youth. Provisions include homework support, mentoring, and safe socialising – all staffed by youth workers trained in cultural inclusion and safeguarding.

“Clubs actively promote intercultural exchange while honouring individual heritage.”

Supplementary Education

Bridging educational gaps with tailored academic support outside school hours. Our supplementary schools and tutors offer:

  • Mother-tongue language classes (Urdu, Polish, Arabic, etc.) to sustain cultural connection.

  • Culturally relevant GCSE/A-Level tuition in maths, sciences & humanities.

  • Homework clubs with staff fluent in community languages.

  • Programmes for SEN learners from diverse backgrounds.
Resources reflect diverse histories and perspectives, ensuring students see themselves in their learning.

“Education specialists understand the distinct challenges faced by EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners and minority ethnic students in UK schools.”

Peer-to-Peer Support Networks

Connect with families who share similar experiences, backgrounds, or challenges through our facilitated peer networks. These community-led groups provide mutual aid in a respectful, culturally attuned environment. Examples include:

  • New parent circles for refugee mothers.

  • South Asian dads’ support groups.

  • LGBTQ+ family meet-ups.

  • Carers’ networks for neurodiverse children in minority communities.
Share advice, reduce isolation, and build resilience through shared understanding.

“Groups are moderated to ensure psychological safety and cultural relevance.”
