Your Stories, Your Words: A conversation wit Hope Dieobi

In this episode we discuss private schools versus state schools, diversifying our understanding of blackness past sports and entertainment and celebrating black excellence.

In this series, Your stories, Your words, we speak to members of the black community about their relationship with the British education system. In giving a platform to parents, mentors, teachers, children and young adults, we aim to show how isolated incidents and stories belong to a wider and more problematic narrative of prejudice and racism. Through these conversations we hope to create far more transparency in the experiences and struggles of educating black children in Britain. This series will cover primary school, secondary school, home schooling, SEN support, local councils, bullying and many more topics.

  1. I blog often and I truly appreciate your content. The article
has truly peaked my interest. I am going to take a
note of your site and keep checking for new information about once a week.
I subscribed to your Feed as well.

  2. When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get
three emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from
    that service? Cheers!
